Shadeland Stock Farm has been raising bison since 1985.
Native to the North American continent, bison have been the Majestic Monarch of the plains for over 200 centuries. Bison were saved from extinction to clear the way for cattle over a hundred years ago by our pioneering forefathers. By 1900, fewer than 500 bison survived. Today, more than 250,000 bison thrive on their native U.S. lands. Bison have a worldwide recognition and sought after ownership by the multitudes. Bison are the fastest growing agricultural enterprise in the world today. The bison advantage is economical, nutritive, environmental and aesthetic.
